-   ABOUT US  -

Our story begins with attending a bee keeping seminar titled “So you want to be a bee keeper?”…little did we know. After learning the importance of preserving our precious pollinators and their need of best organic practices for all to survive and thrive, we were all in!

Highland Honey was shortly formed afterwards as a tribute to my mother (Margaret Burness Bruce Tough of Montrose, Scotland).  Prior to her heavenly journey, mother requested of us that her grandson Nate (then only 4 years of age) always be reminded of her and her continuous love for him.  Highland Honey was created to honor her request.  As a result, mother’s legacy lives on, as we honor and enjoy one of mother’s most precious treasures…fun, productive family time, as well as always making time for tea and honey of course.

As mother impressed upon us the importance of trust worthiness, honor, integrity and character, so too can you expect the same high quality standards from Highland Honey.

At Highland Honey, you are not only a valued customer, but also a contributor to ensuring the conservation of bees.  Also, every one of our honey jar sales results in a portion of those proceeds being donated to the William J Tauschman Memorial Cancer Volunteers.  Just as both the bees and mother have shown us, our purpose is to serve for the betterment of all.

Welcome to our hive!
